COLTON MCGUIRK DESIGNS

Born in 1995 in Dublin, Ireland. At 15 Colton McGuirk began his design training in order to maximise his talents. His training began in a fashion and sewing school 'When Poppy Met Daisy' were he tackelled design courses from the basics to advanced. Through the knowledge he gained at WPMD, he began a 3 year internship where he thought students. His studies developed to Sallynoggin College of Further Education where McGuirk skipped his first college year advancing into his second, final year. He created a 5 look collection while co-managing the set design for the graduate fashion design show. 

 

After SCFE McGuirk began his studies in the National College of Art & Design, Dublin. While tackling his first year in NCAD he worked with top Irish stylists providing garments for photoshoots. He also took on the UCD Young Designer of the Year Competition & The DIT Student Design Competition, gaining a high place in both competition. While the academic year approched an end McGuirk worked on The Entwined Entities Fashion Exhibition provided by Marion Cuddy's Irish Designer Emporium in association with ID2015 where he was apart of a team creativly directing the set and showcased his designs as a featured designer. McGuirk has been commissioned by Systemic Hair to create a bespoke colletion to accompy director Aaron Keegan's 5 look hair collection. CMG Designs has featured in INCREATURE online magazine. Also Today's Sunday Business Post & Xpose as part of the Entwined Entities Exhibition.

 

McGuirk launched his lable "Colton McGuirk Designs" in the summer of 2015. His unisex designer lable uses a tactile approach to echo the themes and inspirations through collections & bespoke garments.
